**I strive to avoid spoilers in my reviews but sometimes they can slip in without me realising. Please be warned that if you read the full review there may be small spoilers for the book. Thank you**

The first thing that needs to be mentioned is that I really disliked the first book in this series. A Court of Thorns and Roses was a seriously disappointing read for me, so much so that I gave it a 2 star review… I was not interested in continuing to read the series until I saw some kick ass fan art and read some review that made me hyped for it! I’m so glad I listened to the reviews and feel in love with the fan art because I LOVED THIS BOOK! I’ve even given it 5 stars! I can’t believe it but I’m actually very excited for the rest of the series!

ACOMAF follows on from the events of ACOTAR and sees our lead lady, Feyre, in a pretty bad place, both mentally and physically. From here we are taken on an extreme journey of betrayal, strength and love that developed the characters and gave me so much more appreciation for this story.

Unlike the first book, the plot of this book was way more exciting and a lot of the characters I preferred were more essential to the story. I think I really enjoyed seeing how the events of the last book had affected other characters because it allowed me to connect with them more. The plot of this book also moved at a better pace and felt less clunky to read.

In my review for the first book I mention feeling like Feyre was pretty useless. I liked her so much more in this story! She was so much more exciting and brave and strong which I was so happy about because that was the kind of character I had wanted and expected in this series! I ended up really liking her so much and I also really love the relationship she has with Rhysand and the other Night Court babes.

I think for me, Rhysand and the other Night Court boys, were the saving grace of this series! Rhys brings so much complexity and heart to the story and he was probably the strongest character. I remember that he was my fav in ACOTAR and I was so happy to have him play a much larger role in this story. I think in future books we will really uncover so much about him because he is such a well-developed character (who shits all over Tamlin! Sorry!)

The other characters, Mor, Cassian, Azriel and Amren are also super interesting and they are characters who I want to get to know! I really like how they were quite important to the story even though they are side characters and I’m really hoping that as the series progresses we will get to know them all better!

Tamlin still does not interest me AT ALL. I was so glad that Feyre saw through her original love for him because he was so so annoying. I’m not interested in him but I am super interested in how they’re relationship will change.

So I am giving this book 5 out of 5 stars. I actually cannot believe how much I’ve changed my tune about this series but this book has converted me into a fan!! I’m so excited for the rest of the books, I think it’s going to be an eight or nine book series which is will be interesting!! If you were like me and didn’t like A Court of Thorns and Roses don’t let that stop you from picking up this story. It’s a hell of a lot more enjoyable.
