**I strive to avoid spoilers in my reviews but sometimes they can slip in without me realising. Please be warned that if you read the full review there may be small spoilers for the book. Thank you**

Today’s review is for ‘Before the Devil Breaks You’ by Libba Bray! It’s the third book in her ‘Diviners’ Series. Sorry, I haven’t posted a review for book two, I never got around to writing it! What’s It Like Studying: Professional Writing & Editing

©amylglover

For the past two years, I’ve been studying Professional Writing and Editing at uni! I’m a writer. It’s in my blood, it’s my one talent and I wanted to allow myself the chance to grow this talent through studying.

Before taking on this course, I had been 100% self-taught. Everything I knew about writing, I had found out myself. Some of this information was wrong but it had served me well in my early days of writing! I think being self-taught is fantastic, you have full control of your style and ability and definitely can go far without ever going to university but that doesn’t mean university isn’t worth it! Of course, it isn’t for everyone, but there are pros to studying and that’s what we are going to discuss today.

I chose to start my studying with a cert IV and a Diploma at Melbourne Polytechnic. If you’re a Melbourne based writer who is interested in studying I would tell you to consider this course, it’s been so beneficial for me!
