Writing Updates: The Witches of Belle River

I’ve hit the 30k mark, I repeat, I have hit the 30k mark!

Wooohoo, writing progress! I have finally written 30,000 words for my beloved The Witches of Belle River. Recently I have been super productive with my writing, thanks to a few different writing incentives I have implemented. I’m trying to write 2,000 words a week, which may seem low for some people, but considering the writer’s block wormhole I’ve been in for the last few months, this has been a great start.  (more…)

Shadow Man: A Companion Novel

For one of my university classes, I decided to write a companion novella for my main novel ‘The Witches of Belle River’. It is a novella titled ‘Shadow Man’!

This companion novel is set in the same universe as ‘The Witches of Belle River’, and deals with a similar situation but in a very different way. Writer’s Little Helper: Realtime Board.

Writer’s Little Helper is my way of sharing great websites and ideas to help other writers. It always had a pretty positive reception on my Tumblr account (amywritesxo.tumblr.com) so I thought I would bring it over here too.

Realtime Board is my ultimate writing friend. If you asked any of my friends they would confirm that I am very much obsessed with this website. You can find an older post about this site over at my Tumblr. I’ve been using it for about two years (that Tumblr post is dated 2015!) and I have never looked back.

AmyWrites: Novel Journal Four!

Novel Journal!

I’ve never been much of a journaler. I always forget to continue journaling and end up with heaps of unfinished journals. For my university class, Novel 2, I have been keeping a journal and it’s been such a learning curb for me.

My little journal is a great place to keep all my ideas and to write down inspiration. I try and do a little bit each week to help keep me interested and inspired.

Claire Elise Durant: my Queen Bee, the REAL witchy bitchy of my novel The Witches of Belle River. Claire is a subdued person, but she has a feisty soul that comes out to play when she needs it.
