A couple of weeks ago I posted about my trip to Bali to take part in the 15th Ubud Writers & Readers Festival. (Read that post HERE).
Now I’m home and after two incredible weeks, I want to recap on the festival and what I gained from it.
On October 23rd, I’m going to be catching a plane from Australia to Bali! I never thought I’d be heading to Bali this year but when the opportunity to go to the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival came up, I jumped at the chance.
The Festival, in its 15th year of running, is located in Ubud, a little way outside of Denpasar and calls itself ‘an annual pilgrimage for lovers of literature and conversation’.
I’ve hit the 30k mark, I repeat, I have hit the 30k mark!
Wooohoo, writing progress! I have finally written 30,000 words for my beloved The Witches of Belle River. Recently I have been super productive with my writing, thanks to a few different writing incentives I have implemented. I’m trying to write 2,000 words a week, which may seem low for some people, but considering the writer’s block wormhole I’ve been in for the last few months, this has been a great start. I want to share an excerpt from my current WIP, The Witches of Belle River (or TWOBR if I’m feeling lazy).
This book is my darling child at the moment and holds a lot of potential and possibility in its word doc. I’ve been working so hard on this novel and I’m really happy with some recent changes I’ve made.
A brand new post about my novel journal! So in love with it. I add more and more to it every day and it’s been a helpful tool to have! I hope these posts inspire some of you to start journaling!
