Another year, another NaNoWriMo!
This year I’m diving back into the world of NaNo. If you’ve never participated in NaNo, this is your year!! Get in on the fun and the excitement of Novembers very best writing season.
I have a few goals I want to reach during the month of November. I feel like going into this month you need to set yourself some goals to help you focus.
Goal 1: Writing every day!
My first goal is to work on writing every day and fitting writing into my schedule. For some reason, I have it in my head that I need to write ALL DAY, every single day. Writing from 9 to 5 (only way to make a… book?) but I think that going ahead with my writing, I need to focus more on writing in smaller bursts every day. So, 30 minutes a day is my goal. Obviously, if I’m in a great mood I’m going to keep writing after the half hour is done to try and reach the 1,996 words a day, but my biggest goal for NaNoWriMo is making myself write on a better schedule.
Goal 2: Finish the TWOBR draft!
I’ve been writing The Witches of Belle River for a year now and I’m really ready to get it finished! Or at least the first draft done! I’m focusing solely on this story and I know that this month is the perfect chance to do that.
I’m not anticipating that I will reach 50,000 words this time around, but I am really hoping to gain a better writing habit out of it and hopefully get a big chunk of TWOBR done. I don’t have a game plan, I didn’t do preptober because of uni commitments, but I am confident that I can use this month to get a lot done and I’m very excited to participate in NaNo again!
