Pantsing versus plotting. This topic comes up a lot in the writing world.

Let’s start with what these two terms mean. Pantsing refers to jumping into a novel without having a plan for what will happen (writing by the seat of your pants), whereas plotting is all about, you guessed it, plotting your novel and going in with a good idea of what will happen.

This post has been in the making for a while! Apologies for my hiatus, uni stress and WordPress media issue got the best of me. But here we are, back with some more Bookstore appreciation!

This gorgeous bookstore is nestled in the heart of Hawthorn, in Australia. It’s a fantastic spot and one that I would visit very often during my days at university. My friends and I love to wander through the shelves and look at all the gorgeous covers. If you follow me on Instagram (@amywritesxo), a lot of my Book Tour stories were filmed here! View Full Post

This companion novel is set in the same universe as ‘The Witches of Belle River’, and deals with a similar situation but in a very different way. The story follows Hugh Kavinsky, a psychic living in New York City and really focuses on Hugh returning to normal life after being possessed for six years by a spirit. So far, Shadow Man has been really fun to write and I love the themes of guilt and healing that are being explored in it.
